Ways To Speed Up Your PC (XP only)

These are simple steps to make your computer boot faster.

1. Know the start-up programs in your computer (these are the programs that will run instantly when you open your computer)

How To:




Hit Start > Run..











Type in msconfig and hit OK








Now go to Startup tab..

Here are the programs that run when you boot your computer. Simply uncheck the unwanted programs (be aware of the anti-virus startups). You can also discover the viruses that run in your computer like the one that has no name on it. Once you have unchecked unwanted programs be sure to hit OK. Then restart your computer.


2. Monitor the programs that run in your Task Manager

How to:


Just press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to open Task Manager...

Here you can manage the running programs in your computer. You can also see how much percent if memory each program uses. You can just End Process unwanted programs to speed up your system.




3. Running on Windows XP Service Pack 2 or later?

Windows XP Service Pack 3 has been already released and by my exprience it really speed up my computer.
